Playoffs

Guys here is the playoff schedule this is based on the website standings.

1)      Steet                     8-1-1

2)      Barrett                  7-3

3)      Sentinel               5-5

4)      Golf Un                3-6

5)      Cavoʼs                   2-6

6)      UFCW                   1-5-1

First and second place teams will get a first round bye, There will be no games on Monday because of a school concert.

 (G1)      4 will play 5         Tuesday June 17th

(G2)       3  will play 6        Wednesday June 18th

(G3)       Winner of game( 1) will play Steet Thursday June 19th

(G4)       Winner of game (2) will Play Barrett Friday June 20th

(G5)       Saturday at 12:00 at the LL field

Guys, there will be no paid umps for these games. We have not used them all year and we will do the same during the play-offs. I would expect that all coaches would do a good job. This is Minor league baseball, take it somewhat serious but have fun with it also. Also, ANY parent giving any ump a hard time with comments will be asked to leave. Tell your parents to sit back have fun with it and enjoy the games. One last thing below are the Silver rules per our by-laws. The only rule the Board added for this season was the pitching distance of 42ft. It is not reflected in our by-laws because it is on a trial basis. The one thing I will tell you is, we added it so the younger players( 8-9 year olds) we be able to pitch in this division. It is not for the older players(10-11) who have the arm strength to throw from the rubber.  So again it is up to the coaches to do whatʼs right and not have your older kids pitching from the shorter distance to get the competitive edge.

Q. Minor Silver Rules:

• 12-yr olds are not allowed to pitch in this division.  All other pitching rules will be adhered to in accordance with the Official Little League Baseball Rule book.
• The ten run rule will be in effect.  See rule 4.10 (e).  Once the ten run rule is invoked, a game winner shall be declared.  Game time limit shall not exceed 2 hours or 8:00pm. Game time will be extended to 8:15 p.m. after June 1st unless the umpire ends a game for safety reasons. The parent of any player promoted during the season shall have the right to refuse the call-up.  No player will be called up from the Minor Division to a Major Division team in the last two weeks of the regular season.
• The home team manager, coaches, players and parents will prep the field before and after each game in the Minor and Major divisions.  The visiting team manager, coaches, players and parents are responsible for the removal of all trash from the dugouts, press box, concessions area and surrounding areas after games.
• Players are allowed to steal 2nd base only and only two bases per inning.
• Playerʼs are not allowed to coach bases!
• A maximum of five runs can be scored by a team each inning.
• Each team will bat until 3 defensive outs are made or the team has batted through the lineup.
• Each team will play (9) nine players in the field but will bat (10) ten.
• There will be no stealing of home in this division.
